The Taylor High School Student Council recently received the Youth in Philanthropy award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals. The group was recognized for hosting its annual big feast event, which allowed students to give over 200 families a Thanksgiving meal. Other student council projects spotlighted include the group’s wildfire victim relief efforts, known as Taylor United, where students raised over $5,000 for the victims; giving back through Santa Cops; and volunteering during Students Performing Unselfish Deeds (SPUD) week.
