A Concert for Hope & Joy in Katy, Texas

Sundance Memory Care, a Montessori-based community for people living with Alzheimer’s, and Cane Island have partnered together to host a benefit concert for an evening of joy and hope. Free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged and welcome. Donations will benefit Hope for the Heart, and HOPEWorks Counseling. Live music, food, and drinks will be provided. MRHS Maverick Theatre Presents ¡Bocon! by Lisa Loomer

The Morton Ranch High School Maverick Theatre company will showcase their bilingual talents and incorporate aerial choreography, intricate costume design, special make up techniques, and state of the art lighting and sound effects to tell the musical story of Miguel, a 12-year-old who flees a repressive military regime in Central America for Los Angeles. Tickets are $5 pre-sale and $7 at the door.

Texas Renaissance Festival

September 30 – November 29, 2017

Be prepared to see people dressed up as pirates, fairies, lords and ladies, kings, queens, and more and don’t be too shy to dress up yourself. Music can be heard throughout and stage performances are available with free seating. Try a variety of cultural foods found at every corner. There will be Renaissance-inspired craft making, amusement rides, and shops at the festival. Admission is free for kids under 4 and kids ages 12 and under on Sundays.
