Cane Island Summer Concert Series

Friday, June 9, 2017 6:00 p.m.

The summer-long concert series will kick off with a performance from Sydney Bryant in the Amenity Village. The event will be paired with fine wines from Yellow Brick Road Winery. Admission is $10 for residents, $15 for non-residents. Food trucks will also be close by.

Crimson Cavalettes Summer Dance Camp

Garden Insects in Katy

Meet with Texas Master Gardeners to learn about the role insects play in your garden. The topics covered will include, insects as decomposers, insects as hunters, insects as pollinators, Tables will include posters, live specimen boxes, and soil digging boxes. Come learn about those “little critters” you find in your lawn and vegetable gardens. The free 2 hour program starts at the pavilion at Willow Fork Park. This is a family–friendly program for all ages.

Katy ISD Summer Band Camp

Monday, July 10 – Friday, July 14, 2017

Katy ISD invites band students in seventh through ninth grade to participate in their summer band camp. The camp will include daily section rehearsals, full band rehearsals, and fun music based electives. Lunch is also part of the camp. The cost of the camp is $130 and will include a t-shirt if registered by June 5th. All registrations after that date will need to include a late registration fee of $25 totaling $155. All registrations must be postmarked by Friday, June 23rd. The camp concludes with the Grand Finale Concert on Friday morning at 9am. After the concert, those students wishing to extend the fun a little longer can join in the group’s optional trip to Typhoon Texas for an additional $35 (park admission, meal, bus transportation, and drinks are included in price) for a total camp cost of $165. Cost goes up t0 $190 after June 5, 2017. For more information, visit katyisd.org.
