Party Under the Arches

Cane Island will host an unforgettable debut of amazing synchronized lights and a display of its Living Arches, two impressive tunnels made of blooming vines stretching over Cane Island Parkway. Free and open to the public, families will enjoy free ice cream, pictures with dog ambassador Hub, and fun music. Parking will be available along Cane Island Parkway. Katy Mayor Fabol Hughes will flip the switch at 8:20 p.m. to activate the synchronized lights and water features at the Cane Island entry.  After the event, the Living Arches will illuminate nightly while Cane Island’s water features will operate year-round.

Ride for Recovery

The organized motorcycle ride, which covers nearly 100 miles of scenic roadway, is held in recognition of National Recovery Month and donates all proceeds to local addition treatment facilities. The ride begins at PaRC and will take riders through Harris, Montgomery, and Waller counties. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. and the riders will be greeted with barbecue, live music, and door prices upon their return to PaRC. Cost is $30 per person and $50 per couple.
