Join in the fun at the 32nd Annual Katy ISD Folk Life Festival. Visitors will learn what life was like for a Texas pioneer in the early 1800’s. There will be soldier re-enactments, blacksmith, bee-keeping, and crafting demonstrations, presentations on Native American culture, a Texas cowboy camp, pioneer and western-themed activities, tours of exhibits, and more. Multicultural Fair

Celebrate the diverse cultural background of the school and of the community. This event will be held for all students and families, and volunteers will represent Argentina, Belgium, China, Colombia, El Salvador, France, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Poland, The Netherlands, Trinidad, USA, and Venezuela. Students attending will receive a “passport” that they will take to the different country booths to get stamped. There will be food representing different countries, as well as souvenirs, clothing, and more. Additional entertainment will be the performances on the stage ranging from cultural dance to yoga.

Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus Family Fun Run

Families with children of all abilities are invited to participate in this event. The run will include both a 1K and 3K course. Those needing walkers and wheelchairs are welcome.
