Honoring Harvey’s Heroes

Now through August 19, Willow Fork Drainage District will host a special evening honoring the men and women who went above and beyond during and after the storm. TO NOMINATE: Email the name of your hero and a brief description of why they should be honored to harveysheroes@willowforkparks.com. WFDD will choose the top 10 nominations, and will honor them on stage at the event. Include photos, video clips, etc to accompany your nomination.

Katy High School Color Guard Spin N Toss Clinic

Get ready for some back-to-school fun and come learn how to spin and toss a flag just like the members of the Katy High School Color Guard! All participants will learn two routines and perform them with the Color Guard and Katy Tiger Band at their annual Tiger Band Showcase performance. The clinic and showcase will take place on Thursday, August 9, and participants can enter through the KHS Band Hall located next to the KHS soccer fields. The 1st-4th grade clinic will be from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, and the 5th-8th grade clinic will be from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. Both clinics include a lunch hour with the Katy Color Guard members from 12:00-1:00. The Tiger Band Showcase performance begins at 7:00 pm that evening in Tiger Stadium. The cost is $25 and that includes lunch. Clinic t-shirts will be available for $15, and mini Katy spirit flags will be available for $10. To pre-register, please email MichelleJordan717@yahoo.com.

Katy Summer Tailgate 2018: Totally 80’s Back to School Bash

Pour Into Houston Cornhole Tournament
