The City of Katy is hiring a City Secretary to Act as Records Management Officer for all City records including developing filing recording retention schedules with the State; assists in designating the storage, retrieval, and destruction of the City records in compliance with Texas Local Government Record Act. Will also Administer the creation, indexing, maintenance, and retrieval of the official records of the City, including minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, deeds, titles, and abstracts of City property, and other related official documents. Requires High school diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years of progressively responsible experience within a municipal government; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
