Katy Magazine is targeted to a very large family readership so all ads must adhere to certain guidelines. We are the only publication who turns away ads from all of these types of businesses.
- No bars, nightclubs or liquor stores
- No gambling establishments
- No plastic surgery ads featuring before/after body photos
- No occult ads - palm readers, psychics, etc.
- No tobacco, head shops, or other stores we deem inappropriate.
Basically, if it’s inappropriate to be read by all family members in a household, it not a good fit for Katy Magazine. We are the only publication that is truly family friendly.
Occasionally, an advertiser will submit an ad that we just feel will be offensive to the community or that is not within our quality standards. We will notify the customer and/or help them create an ad that will work for our magazine and our community.
