Totally Tobacco Free – Hospitals Announce Policy
On January 1, 2006, Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, Christus St. Catherine’s Hospital, and Dr. Paul Bing, Pulmonologist & physician advisor, are very excited to announce both campuses will become tobacco-free environments. A
spokesperson said, “As healthcare providers, we can no longer advise the community on the health hazards of tobacco use and continue to allow its use on our campuses. The relationship with our friends and neighbors in is important
to us. We appreciate the efforts you will make to honor our tobacco-free environment.” Smoking, or any tobacco use, will not be allowed anywhere on the campuses starting in 2006.
